Membership
The club is open to skiers who have a referral from an existing member and who are willing to dedicate time and effort to help with club activities. Everyone is expected to participate beyond riding behind the boat.
Examples of volunteer opportunities include:
- Providing a boat (club reimburses for gas at official practices)
- Allowing club members to borrow skis, life vests and ropes
- Managing the equipment
- Photographing practices and shows
- Helping maintain the slalom course
- Organizing and working booths at different events
- Selling club products (posters/raffle tickets/t-shirts)
- Riding as a spotter
- Managing the ropes in the boat
- Coordinating the ski show
- Coordinating an act for the ski show
We welcome individuals and families. Youth under 18 require permission from a parent to participate.
For new skiers, we hold Learn to Ski practices a couple of times a year, early in the season. For the rest of the summer, we practice for the ski show, and new members need to be able to ski in order to join the club.
