Wraping up 2011!

On Aug 20th we held the first of two shows for 2011.  With a little more practice, we were able to perform for the Aug 26th show the club's first all-club-member 3/2/1 pyramid since reinstating the club in 2006.  What will we be next years challenge?

With only a few weeks to prepare, the 2011 LLSC Ski Show went off without a hitch, thanks to all the members and supporting friends and family.  See the video here: LLSC 2011 Ski Show.  The club extends our deepest appreciation to Lake Lure Adventure Company for personnel and boat support during the 2011 season.

What We Do

Our club focuses on an annual ski demonstration and slalom course skiing.

Founded in 1963

The Lake Lure Ski Club was founded in 1963 by a local group of slalom skiers.   The club was revived in 2006 with the installation of a sinkable slalom course on the north end of the lake and a ski demonstration with the Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad.  The tradition continues today with the 6th annual Ski Show held August 26th, 2011 in conjunction with the Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad.
